Artist's Description

Granada Golf Course in Coral Gables is a nine hole course designed by Donald Ross. It opened in 1923 and has a local flavor, partly due to old Spanish style homes around it and the Alhambra Water Tower, which can be seen from the club area as you look past the ninth green and up the faiwary (see a photograph of the ninth and the Alhambra Water Tower in my "Coral Gables FL" or "Various - Golf" galleries).

See other examples of Coral Gables architecture at my Coral Gables gallery which includes the Alhambra Water Tower and the Country Club of Coral Gables, among others.

About Ed Gleichman

Ed Gleichman

I've been a photographer most of my life, starting very young with a Kodak Instamatic camera. There were a few others over some years and in my mid-twenties a Canon EOS 630 (film camera) which I used extensively. Then I quit for a while. Can't say I know why, life happens. Some years ago I decided I would commit to what I knew had long been an important part of my life. It has been good in many ways, mostly because it lets me see the world around me as a place to enjoy and share. There is much that goes on around us that is negative and depressing, to say the least. It lifts my spirits to find other views that show there is much to be grateful for and much that others might find inspiring although they might never get the chance to see...
