Artist's Description
This is a full frontal view of the historic Biltmore Hotel, Coral Gables, in it's tropical Florida setting with palms in front and blue skies in the background.
The hotel opened in 1926 and was part of the development effort by George Merrick to attract the famous and influential to a center of fashion, sports, and culture in South Florida. The Biltmore was among several of the buildings that composed the grand display, including the Alhambra Water Tower, the Coral Gables Country Club, and many others, which would create a unique attraction he called "The City Beautiful".
Note: This image was cropped to a ratio of 11 by 14. This image is also available in the original 2 by 3 ratio at the "Architecture - Biltmore Hotel" gallery.

It lifts my spirits to find other views that show there is much to be grateful for and much that others might find inspiring although they might never get the chance to see...
