Artist's Description
View of Coral Gables Congregational Church tower with blue skies and palm fronds. The church was designed in 1923 in the Spanish Baroque style and started by George Merrick as part of his grand design for Coral Gables. It was added to the US National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
Coral Gables was envisioned by George Merrick to be the "Mediterranean Riviera" and draw the wealthy and prominent in the 1920's.
See other examples of Coral Gables architecture at my Coral Gables gallery which includes the Alhambra Water Tower and the Country Club of Coral Gables, among others.

About Ed Gleichman
I've been a photographer most of my life, starting very young with a Kodak Instamatic camera. It has been good in many ways, mostly because it lets me see the world around me as a place to enjoy and share. There is much that goes on around us that is negative and depressing, to say the least. It lifts my spirits to find other views that show there is much to be grateful for and much that others might find inspiring although they might never get the chance to see...
