Description

The Desert View Watchtower sits on the south rim of the Grand Canyon, about 20 miles east of Grand Canyon Village, and overlooks a huge expanse of the canyon, including views of the Colorado River. It has been designated as a United States National Historic Landmark and is also on the list of National Register of Historic Places. It was designed by architect Mary Colter and completed in 1932.
