Description
This image of the Henry B. Plant Museum, originally the Tampa Bay Hotel, was taken from the Curtis Hixon Park, across the Hillsborough River which runs through downtown Tampa.
There are buildings along the river that hide most of the details of the museum but the minarets, turrets, and the cupola over the large dome are visible against the light after sunset.
This Moorish architectural style is very distinctive and creates a dramatic image. The Tampa Bay Hotel, which opened in 1891, is registered as a US National Historic Landmark.
This image does not have a model or property release.
